As promised...more Stairstep Cards!

OK...I'm hooked on stairstep cards.  There are unlimited possibilities...and kids LOVE them, because you can see the entire card at the same time.  The next three cards were created for my favorite set of triplets from PA for their third birthday.  I used Cricut's Everyday Paperdolls and Mickey's Font cartridges, as well as my Fairy Cut file created in my previous blog entry.

My dear neighbors threw a golf themed party for their sweet little boy for his first birthday.  The absolutely adorable SVGs were from the "Its Tee Time" collection from kaDoodle Bug Designs.

A Seussical Start

I am so excited to share my Treasured Paper Creations!  Each project is crafted for those that are near and dear to my heart.  Giant smiles are my reward.

When my youngest son insisted on having a Seussical 4th Birthday, I hit the blogs for inspiration.  The stairstep card caught my attention and ideas began to fly.  Split Coast Stampers has excellent tutorials, as well as a wealth of examples.  Instead of using a scoring board and bone folder, I formatted a template with scoring lines using the Fairy Cut software.  The Dr. Seuss characters were cut from clipart.  I used Cricut's Mickey Mouse Font cartridge to cut the "4" at 2.5".  The cupcakes were cut from Cricut's Birthday Bash cartridge and decorated with "sprinkles" left over from the eyelet punch.

I was very frustrated with the fact that this card gradually spread out flat, so I set eyelets through the base of the card and threaded a piece of ribon through the holes.  The knot discretely lies underneath the first section of the card.  Problem solved!

But the ideas don't stop there...Oh, the places we'll go!  Check back soon for variations of the stair step card that I created for a set of triplets for their birthday.
